I'm not a big Minecraft player. Haven't touched it in over a year actually.
I was digging my subterranean fortress in the side of a cliff, the ceiling vaulted overhead and a wide clear view of the approach from the sea. But I knew the weakness of my fortress. Any opposing player had the same tools I did. They could break and build the 8-bit blocks just as easily as I. In the wink of an eye I rebuilt the whole thing with crisp, visible lines, reminiscent of the bunkers at Navarone but without the giant guns. But it was too late as my nemesis had already breached the walls and was strafing the lower levels of the stack, trying to get a good shot. I laid low and emptied my Krazy Klobb of death at his oversized square head. But as always, the Krazy Klobb works better for my enemy than me. I discard the empty machine gun and craft myself a Dragunov SVD from practically nothing. I grab it from it's block, a 2 dimensional thing, and stare through its curiously three dimensional sight. I get a glimpse of shoe and a kneecap sticking out from behind the doorway and take my shot. One shot to the knee kills him. But he wasn't alone. I roll over and shoot on the fly at a massive dragon that comes through viewing slot of my fortress. It crashes to the ground behind me in another section of the green and white stacks. I dash to the window and scope out a pair of bright pink slugs trying to flee the scene in parallel movements which should have been much too fast for a slug to move. My shot explodes into the ground between them and buries them in the crater. Job well done. The 8 bit world is safe for another day.
